With our client the Student Veterans of America, our team created a SVA driven movement within the Northern Nevada community that recognizes student veterans for their current achievements as well as identify a strong networking support system to help them succeed in and outside of the classroom.
Campaign Manager- 2016 Student Government (ASUN) President and Vice President January – March 2016
Appointed to be the campaign manager for Brandon Boone and Jacob Springmeyer. Responsibilities included managing social media platforms: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, planning launch party and community relations events and debate preparation.
Co-Chair- Fraternity and Sorority Life 5 year Strategic Plan- January 2016-May 2016
Appointed to co write the fraternity and sorority life strategic plan to idolize a future for the fraternity and sorority life community in relation to scholarship, alcohol and drug awareness and hazing programming, community growth, marketing and public relations, faculty and administrative relations and housing.
Will be used as a vision for future fraternity and sorority life generations
Communications Internship- University of Nevada, Reno Marketing and Communications Department- Nov. 2015- May 2016
Responsibilities include researching and writing stories, press releases and media advisories, developing comprehensive public relations plans, assisting in media relations activities and various administrative duties.
Panhellenic President- University of Nevada, Reno Fraternity and Sorority Life Dec. 2014- Dec. 2015
Oversaw 5 Panhellenic Sororities at UNR, attended the AFLV conference in Indiana, welcomed Alpha Omicron Pi, planned and executed Greek Week, raised over $3,000 for the Children’s Cabinet and donated 10,000 meals to the Nevada Food Bank, participated in St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital Up Till Dawn, and planned and executed formal recruitment.

Students spend considerable time in person in the Latino neighborhoods, researching and trying to better understand the needs of the Hispanic community. Engaging the Latino community in Northern Nevada through events journalism partnered with the RGJ, the local daily, Public TV station KNPB, Univision TV station and many more.
Research and Presentation Team- American Advertising Federation Integrated Marketing Competition Team – Jan. 2015-May. 2015
Chosen to Participate on an elite team of students competing in the National Student Advertising Competition sponsored by the American Advertising Federation for Pizza Hut. Our team finished ahead of California Berkley in the Regional Competition.
Account Executive – Nevada Department of Transportation Strategic Plan Fall 2014
Our team came up with a strategic communications plan for our client that used energetic yet practical tactics that aims to reach the public everyday highlighting the good things that the Nevada Department of Transportation does for the state. Our team presented to the Nevada Governor who decided the plan will be implemented statewide.
Constituent Affairs Internship – Office of the California Governor Jerry Brown Summer 2014
Intern focused on the Environmental portfolio , I conducted research pertaining to environmental policy in California and was expected to report to the Director of the office on my findings. In addition I interacted with California Constituents by answering phone calls, emails and monitored correspondents.
Intern- Targeted Results Public Relations Agency
Prepared samples for desk side meetings with media, sent pitches to bloggers, identified potential new media to target, then gathered details about writing style, audience etc.; analyzed details about a blogger community to determine if an event targeting those bloggers would be successful; compiling clips for sales presentations and use on the web site. Targeted press releases for about 20 different cities including pertinent details and links for each market requiring great attention to detail.
Clients include: Vitabath, Science Cheerleaders and Army Education Outreach Program.
